September 11, 2025: Lumberton, NC 28358 Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Pirates (8-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC). The Buccaneers come into the non-league challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last challenge, Jack Britt beat Richmond Senior (Rockingham, NC), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Bears meet the Cape Fear Colts (Fayetteville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 16. Gray's Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Colts come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC).
