September 11, 2025: Cape Girardeau, MO 63703 Central Tigers (Cape Girardeau, MO) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Naylor Eagles (Naylor, MO), 9-6 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Central upgrades its record to 2-2 on the year. The Tigers host Sikeston (Sikeston, MO) to play the Bulldogs in a Class 3 District 1 match on Tuesday, September 16. The Bulldogs come into the match with a record of 0-2. Sikeston lost 21-4 in their recent non-league match against Saxony Lutheran (Jackson, MO)
In their next game, the Eagles confront the East Carter Redbirds (Ellsinore, MO) in a non-league match, on Monday, October 6. Naylor will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record.
