September 11, 2025: Lyons, GA 30436 Toombs County Bulldogs (Lyons, GA) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Savannah Christian Raiders (Savannah, GA), 7-3 in a league game.
With the triumph, Toombs County upgrades its record to 7-5 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Pierce County (Blackshear, GA) to play the Bears in a non-league game on Monday, September 15. The Bears enter the game with a record of 11-7. Pierce County won 18-0 in their recent non-league game against Burke County (Waynesboro, GA)
The Raiders now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Islands for a non-league game on Monday, September 15. Savannah Christian will play a Sharks squad coming off a 14-1 league loss to Liberty County (Hinesville, GA). The Sharks record now stands at 3-6.
