September 11, 2025: New Orleans, LA 70130 The Covington Lions volleyball squad (Covington, LA), was defeated 3-1 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host McGehee Hawks (New Orleans, LA)
The Hawks (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Riverdale (Jefferson, LA). The Rebels go into the non-league test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, Riverdale was defeated by Central Lafourche (Raceland, LA), 3-0, in a non-league test.
The Lions now own a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Doyle for a non-league challenge on Monday, September 15. Covington will play a Tigers team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Pine (Franklinton, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 4-0.
