Virginia High School Volleyball - East Ridge bounced by Grundy
September 11, 2025: Grundy, VA 24614 Grundy Golden Wave (Grundy, VA) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting East Ridge Warriors (Lick Creek, KY), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the victory, Grundy upgrades its record to 9-4 on the year. The Golden Wave host Richlands (Richlands, VA) to face the Blue Tornado in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 16. The Blue Tornado go into the test with a record of 1-4. Richlands won 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Castlewood (Castlewood, VA)
The Warriors now sport a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Martin County for a non-league test on Monday, September 15. East Ridge will play a Cardinals team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over June Buchanan (Pippa Passes, KY). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-4.
