With the win, Yazoo County improves its record to 7-2 on the season. The Panthers host Amanda Elzy (Greenwood, MS) to encounter the Panthers in a Class 3A Region 3 test on Tuesday, September 16. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 6-1. Amanda Elzy won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Shaw (Shaw, MS)
The Tigers now own a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clarksdale for a non-league test on Monday, September 15. Edwards will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Charleston (Charleston, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-4.
