Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Midwest Central Raiders (Manito, IL) and the host Illini Central Cougars (Mason City, IL), observed Midwest Central's volleyball team top Illini Central by a tally of 2-0.

The Raiders (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Rushville-Industry (Rushville, IL). The Rockets enter the non-league contest with a 3-6 record.

Next, the Cougars meet the Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL) in a non-league test, on Saturday, September 13. Illini Central will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Maroons go into the test with a 2-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Rantoul (Rantoul, IL).
