Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Northwest Vikings (Grand Island, NE) and the host North Platte Bulldogs (North Platte, NE), saw Northwest's volleyball squad notch a victory over North Platte by a score of 3-1.

With the win, Northwest improves its record to 7-3 on the season. The Vikings host Minden (Minden, NE) to encounter the Whippets in a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 16. The Whippets go into the battle with a record of 8-1. Minden won 3-2 in their recent non-league battle against Beloit (Beloit, KS)

The Bulldogs now own a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gretna East for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 13. North Platte will meet a Griffins team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Lincoln Northwest (Lincoln, NE). The Griffins record now stands at 6-4.
