Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Southern Nash Firebirds (Bailey, NC) and the visiting Northern Nash Knights (Rocky Mount, NC), observed Southern Nash's volleyball team top Northern Nash by a tally of 3-0.

The Firebirds (10-0) will now prepare for their contest against Louisburg (Louisburg, NC). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Louisburg was beaten by Nash Central (Rocky Mount, NC), 3-0, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Knights encounter the Rocky Mount Gryphons (Rocky Mount, NC) in a Big East 5A/6A test, on Tuesday, September 16. Northern Nash will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record.
