Missouri High School Softball - Halfway nudges Walnut Grove
September 12, 2023: Halfway, MO 65663 Halfway Cardinals (Halfway, MO) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Walnut Grove Tigers (Walnut Grove, MO), 7-6 in a league challenge.
The Cardinals now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fair Play for a Class 1 District 3 challenge on Thursday, September 14. Halfway will face a Hornets squad coming off a 9-7 non-league loss to Hermitage (Hermitage, MO). The Hornets record now stands at 1-7.
With the loss, Walnut Grove falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Dadeville (Dadeville, MO) to face the Bearcats in a Class 1 District 3 challenge on Thursday, September 14. The Bearcats enter the challenge with a record of 3-4. Dadeville lost 7-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Norwood (Norwood, MO)
