North Carolina High School Football - Smoky Mountain knocked off by Murphy

September 12, 2024: Sylva, NC 28779

In Thursday's non-league game, the Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) football team overcame the host Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC), by a tally of 22-14.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Greenville Hurricanes Hurricanes (Greenville, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 20. Murphy will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record.

The Mustangs (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Pisgah (Canton, NC). The Bears go into the 3A Mountain 7 challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Pisgah toppled Hayesville (Hayesville, NC), 30-0, in a non-league challenge.
