September 12, 2024: Lovingston, VA 22949 The Nelson County Governors volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Parry McCluer Fighting Blues to 0 in the Governors non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Governors now have a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Buffalo Gap for a non-league outing on Monday, September 16. Nelson County will play a Bison team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA). The Bison record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Parry McCluer drops to 1-6 on the campaign. The Fighting blues travel to Alleghany (Covington, VA) to play the Cougars in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 14. The Cougars come into the outing with a record of 6-1. Alleghany won 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against James River (Buchanan, VA)
