September 12, 2024: Eureka, IL 61530 Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL), 2-0 in a league test.
With the win, Eureka advances its record to 9-2 on the season. The Hornets travel to Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL) to face the Knights in a Heart of Illinois test on Tuesday, September 17. The Knights go into the test with a record of 5-2.
The Minutemen now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cornerstone Christian for a non-league test on Monday, September 16. Lexington will face a Cyclones squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Unity Christian (Decatur, IL). The Cyclones record now stands at 5-2.
