Texas High School Football - Iowa Colony trounces Alief Elsik

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Iowa Colony Pioneers football squad scored a decisive 59-14 triumph over the Alief Elsik Rams.

The Pioneers (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Lee (Baytown, TX). The Ganders go into the 5A-2 Region III District 9 battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Lee was ripped by Sterling (Baytown, TX), 48-7, in a non-league battle.

The Rams now have a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Lamar for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 20. Alief Elsik will play a Texans team coming off a 21-14 non-league loss to Clear Springs (League City, TX). The Texans record now stands at 0-3.
