In Friday's league game, the Freeport Yellowjackets (Freeport, PA) football team crushed the visiting Deer Lakes Lancers (Russellton, PA), by a final score of 58-7.

With the win, Freeport advances its record to 4-0 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA) to encounter the Bucs in a WPIAL AAA Allegheny 7 bout on Friday, September 19. The Bucs go into the bout with a record of 0-3. Burrell lost 13-7 in their recent non-league bout against Derry (Derry, PA)

The Lancers now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Allegheny for a WPIAL AAA Allegheny 7 contest on Friday, September 19. Deer Lakes will battle a Wild Cats squad coming off a 42-15 league loss to Highlands (Natrona Heights, PA). The Wild Cats record now stands at 0-4.
