Connecticut High School Football - Deerfield Academy holds off Loomis Chaffee School
September 12, 2025: Windsor, CT 06095 The Deerfield Academy Big Green (Deerfield, MA) football tipped the host Loomis Chaffee School Pelicans (Windsor, CT), 23-20 in Friday's non-league outing.
The Big Green now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Suffield Academy for a Northeast Prep game on Saturday, September 20. Deerfield Academy will face a Tigers team coming off a 21-6 non-league loss to Dexter Southfield (Brookline, MA). The Tigers record now stands at 0-1.
The Pelicans (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Taft School (Watertown, CT). The Big Red enter the Founders game with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Taft School was nipped by Cheshire Academy (Cheshire, CT), 28-0, in a non-league outing.
