Leake Academy Rebels (Madden, MS) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Winona Christian Stars (Winona, MS), 35-7 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Leake Academy advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Rebels travel to Winston Academy (Louisville, MS) to meet the Patriots in a non-league match on Friday, September 19. The Patriots come into the match with a record of 0-4. Winston Academy lost 38-13 in their recent non-league match against Wayne Academy (Waynesboro, MS)

Coming up next, the Stars meet the Marshall Academy Patriots (Holly Springs, MS) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 19. Winona Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record.
