North Salem Vikings (Salem, OR) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting South Medford Panthers (Medford, OR), 19-13 in a league battle.

With the win, North Salem improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Vikings travel to Grants Pass (Grants Pass, OR) to play the Cavemen in a 6A Special District 1 battle on Friday, September 19. The Cavemen go into the battle with a record of 1-1. Grants Pass lost 56-21 in their recent league match against Willamette (Eugene, OR)

Coming up next, the Panthers meet the South Salem Saxons (Salem, OR) in a 6A Special District 1 match, on Friday, September 19. South Medford will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Saxons come into the match with a 0-2 record after their 57-12 non-league loss to Tualatin (Tualatin, OR).
