The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Troy Trojans (Troy, TX) and the host Blum Bobcats (Blum, TX), saw Troy's volleyball squad nudge Blum by a score of 3-2.

With the win, Troy improves its record to 14-8 on the season. The Trojans travel to Gatesville (Gatesville, TX) to encounter the Hornets in a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 16. The Hornets go into the battle with a record of 21-5. Gatesville won 3-0 in their recent non-league battle against Belton (Belton, TX)
