Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA) supporters left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA), 2-1 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, September 15. Giles will attempt to advance on its 9-0 season record. The Highlanders enter the test with a 0-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA).
