September 13, 2024: Glastonbury, CT 06033 The Glastonbury Guardians football squad scored 41 points and limited the visiting Platt Panthers to 27 in the Guardians league triumph on Friday.
The Guardians now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Maloney for a Central Connecticut - Tier 1 test on Thursday, September 19. Glastonbury will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 42-13 non-league loss to New Canaan (New Canaan, CT). The Spartans record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Platt drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host Berlin (Berlin, CT) to meet the Redcoats in a non-league test on Thursday, September 19. The Redcoats come into the test with a record of 1-0. Berlin won 42-7 in their recent non-league test against Branford (Branford, CT)
