In Friday's league game, the Tamaqua Blue Raiders (Tamaqua, PA) football team triumphed over the visiting Jim Thorpe Olympians (Jim Thorpe, PA), by a tally of 48-7.

In their next game, the Blue Raiders face the Salisbury Township Falcons (Allentown, PA) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 20. Tamaqua will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record. The Falcons enter the game with a 3-1 record after their 42-35 league win over Catasauqua (Catasauqua, PA).

The Olympians (1-3) will now prepare for their game against North Schuylkill (Ashland, PA). The Spartans enter the non-league game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, North Schuylkill was trounced by Southern Lehigh (Center Valley, PA), 36-14, in a league game.
