September 13, 2024: Madrid, IA 50156 The Madrid Tigers felled the visiting Mount Ayr Raiders football team by a score of 28-6 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers play the Lynnville-Sully Hawks (Sully, IA) in a A District 6 challenge, on Friday, September 20. Madrid will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Hawks go into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 34-24 non-league loss to Pleasantville (Pleasantville, IA).
The Raiders (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Decatur (Leon, IA). The Cardinals go into the A District 6 challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Central Decatur was dropped by North Mahaska (New Sharon, IA), 69-16, in a league challenge.
