September 20, 2024: Madrid, IA 50156 Madrid Tigers (Madrid, IA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Lynnville-Sully Hawks (Sully, IA), 21-0 in a league battle.
With the win, Madrid advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Tigers travel to Earlham (Earlham, IA) to play the Cardinals in a non-league battle on Friday, September 27. The Cardinals go into the battle with a record of 3-1.
The Hawks now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Wayne for a A District 6 battle on Friday, September 27. Lynnville-Sully will play a Falcons team coming off a 38-12 non-league win over Panorama (Panora, IA). The Falcons record now stands at 3-1.
