The Mountain Vista Golden Eagles softball squad (Highlands Ranch, CO), was edged 3-2 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting Cherry Creek Bruins (Greenwood Village, CO)

With the triumph, Cherry Creek improves its record to 7-5 on the year. The Bruins travel to Eaglecrest (Centennial, CO) to face the Raptors in a 5A/4A Centennial contest on Tuesday, September 17. The Raptors enter the contest with a record of 10-5. Eaglecrest won 13-1 in their recent league contest against Smoky Hill (Aurora, CO)

The Golden Eagles now hold a 2-11 record. They play next when they host Chaparral for a 5A/4A Continental contest on Monday, September 16. Mountain Vista will face a Wolverines squad coming off a 9-6 league win over Castle View (Castle Rock, CO). The Wolverines record now stands at 5-7.
