In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Odyssey Institute Minotaur volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Tonopah Valley Phoenix.

The Minotaur (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Safford (Safford, AZ). The Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Safford beat ALA - Ironwood (Ironwood, AZ), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Phoenix meet the Mingus Marauders (Cottonwood, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 13. Tonopah Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Marauders enter the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Cactus Shadows (Cave Creek, AZ).
