The Miller Buccaneers football team (Corpus Christi, TX), was crushed 77-7 in Saturday's non-league bout with the visiting DeSoto Eagles (DeSoto, TX)

The Eagles (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Mesquite (Mesquite, TX). The Skeeters enter the 6A Region II District 11 contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Mesquite was trounced by North Forney (Forney, TX), 49-14, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Buccaneers battle the Cuero Gobblers (Cuero, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 19. Miller will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Gobblers enter the contest with a 3-0 record after their 42-28 non-league win over Yoakum (Yoakum, TX).
