The Glen Ridge Ridgers (Glen Ridge, NJ) football trounced the visiting Newark Central Blue Devils (Newark, NJ), 74-0 in Saturday's league outing.

The Ridgers now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hanover Park for a non-league game on Friday, September 19. Glen Ridge will battle a Hornets team coming off a 35-21 league win over Mountain Lakes (Mountain Lakes, NJ). The Hornets record now stands at 3-0.
