Illinois High School Football - Metro-East Lutheran wallops St. Thomas More

September 13, 2025: Champaign, IL 61822

The Metro-East Lutheran Knights walloped the host St. Thomas More Sabers football team by a score of 60-26 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Knights face the Blue Ridge Knights (Farmer City, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 19. Metro-East Lutheran will attempt to improve on its 3-0 season record. The Knights go into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 58-14 league loss to Unity Christian/Mt. Pulaski (Decatur, IL).

With the defeat, St. Thomas More drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Sabers travel to South Fork/Edinburg/Morrisonville (Kincaid, IL) to meet the Ponies in a non-league test on Saturday, September 20. The Ponies come into the test with a record of 3-0. South Fork/Edinburg/Morrisonville won 28-8 in their recent non-league test against Unity Christian/Mt. Pulaski (Decatur, IL)
