West Virginia High School Soccer - Fairmont Senior knocks off Shady Spring
September 13, 2025: Shady Spring, WV 25918 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears (Fairmont, WV) and the host Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV), saw Fairmont Senior's soccer squad triumph over Shady Spring by a count of 8-1.
The Polar Bears (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Weir (Weirton, WV). The Red Riders enter the non-league battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Weir tipped St. Clairsville (St. Clairsville, OH), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Tigers battle the Lewis County Minutemen (Weston, WV) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 16. Shady Spring will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Minutemen enter the battle with a 4-3 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Point Pleasant (Point Pleasant, WV).
