Michigan High School Volleyball - Napoleon over Athens
September 13, 2025: Athens, MI 49011 Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Napoleon Pirates (Napoleon, MI) and the host Athens Indians (Athens, MI), observed Napoleon's volleyball team top Athens by a tally of 2-0.
The Pirates (14-2) will now prepare for their contest against Jonesville (Jonesville, MI). The Comets enter the Cascades battle with a 6-8 record. In their last battle, Jonesville was defeated by Columbia Central (Brooklyn, MI), 3-0, in a league battle.
The Indians now own a 5-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Philip Catholic Central for a Southern Central battle on Tuesday, September 16. Athens will encounter a Fighting Tigers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Portage Northern (Portage, MI). The Fighting Tigers record now stands at 11-5.
