In Thursday's league match, the host Rahway Indians football squad scored a good 27-12 victory over the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders.

In their next game, the Indians clash with the Summit Hilltoppers (Summit, NJ) in a Big Central - United Gold match, on Friday, September 22. Rahway will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Hilltoppers enter the match with a 2-1 record after their 44-20 league loss to St. Thomas Aquinas (Edison, NJ).

The Raiders (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Westfield (Westfield, NJ). The Blue Devils enter the non-league match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Westfield thwarted Elizabeth (Elizabeth, NJ), 23-21, in a league match.
