Rhode Island High School Soccer - Rogers held off by Mt. Pleasant
September 14, 2023: Newport, RI 02840 The crowd at Thursday's league test between the Mt. Pleasant Kilties (Providence, RI) and the host Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI), saw Mt. Pleasant's soccer squad get by Rogers by a margin of 3-2.
The Kilties now sport a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Woonsocket for a Division 4 test on Monday, September 18. Mt. Pleasant will meet a Villa Novans squad coming off a 4-2 league win over Rogers (Newport, RI). The Villa Novans record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, Rogers drops to 0-1 on the season. The Vikings travel to Toll Gate (Warwick, RI) to meet the Titans in a Division 4 test on Friday, September 15. The Titans come into the test with a record of 1-1. Toll Gate won 1-0 in their recent league test against Blackstone Valley Prep (Cumberland, RI)
