Maine High School Soccer - Woodland toppled by Sumner
September 14, 2024: East Sullivan, ME 04664 Sumner Tigers (East Sullivan, ME) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the visiting Woodland Dragons (Baileyville, ME), 4-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Sumner advances its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Tigers host Washington Academy (East Machias, ME) to clash with the Raiders in a Class C - North test on Tuesday, September 17. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 1-1. Washington Academy lost 5-3 in their recent league test against Orono (Orono, ME)
The Dragons now have a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lee Academy for a Class D - North test on Tuesday, September 17. Woodland will clash with a Pandas team coming off a 9-3 league loss to Bangor Christian (Bangor, ME). The Pandas record now stands at 1-2.
