New York High School Soccer - Kingston held off by Newburgh Free Academy
September 15, 2022: Newburgh, NY 12550 The Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks held off the visiting Kingston Tigers soccer squad by a margin of 2-1 in Thursday's league match.
The Goldbacks now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host John Jay for a non-league game on Monday, September 19.
The Tigers (1-3) will now prepare for their game against Beacon (Beacon, NY). The Bulldogs go into the non-league game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Beacon nipped Port Jervis (Port Jervis, NY), 8-0, in a league game.
