The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Leyton Warriors (Dalton, NE) and the host Anselmo-Merna Coyotes (Merna, NE), saw Leyton's volleyball squad beat Anselmo-Merna by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Leyton upgrades its record to 9-0 on the year. The Warriors travel to Bayard (Bayard, NE) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 16. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 6-0. Bayard won 3-2 in their recent non-league bout against Alliance (Alliance, NE)

The Coyotes now own a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Elm Creek for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 19. Anselmo-Merna will play a Buffaloes squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Overton (Overton, NE). The Buffaloes record now stands at 4-8.
