Fans at Monday's league battle between the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) and the host Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC), saw Ashe County's soccer squad knock off Starmount by a count of 2-0.

The Huskies (7-2) will now prepare for their battle against Alleghany (Sparta, NC). The Trojans enter the Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A match with a 2-3 record. In their last match, Alleghany by Elkin (Elkin, NC), 5-0, in a league match.
