North Carolina High School Soccer - East Columbus knocks off West Columbus
September 15, 2025: Cerro Gordo, NC 28430 Fans at Monday's league battle between the East Columbus Gators (Lake Waccamaw, NC) and the host West Columbus Vikings (Cerro Gordo, NC), saw East Columbus's soccer squad triumph over West Columbus by a count of 5-0.
The Gators (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Union (Rose Hill, NC). The Spartans enter the Carolina 1A/2A battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, Union was overwhelmed by Lakewood (Roseboro, NC), 4-2, in a league battle.
Next up, the Vikings battle the East Bladen Eagles (Elizabethtown, NC) in a Carolina 1A/2A match, on Wednesday, September 17. West Columbus will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Eagles come into the match with a 4-3 record after their 5-1 league win over North Duplin (Calypso, NC).
