September 16, 2022: New Iberia, LA 70563 The Highland Baptist Christian Bears football team (New Iberia, LA), was beaten 23-13 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting St. John Eagles (Plaquemine, LA)
The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against West St. Mary (Baldwin, LA). The Wolfpack come into the non-league challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, West St. Mary was beaten by Northside (Lafayette, LA), 52-6, in a non-league challenge.
The Bears now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Hanson Memorial for a 1A District 7 challenge on Thursday, September 22. Highland Baptist Christian will meet a Tigers team coming off a 28-7 non-league win over Westminster Academy (Opelousas, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-0.
