September 16, 2022: Ellsworth, ME 04605 Ellsworth Eagles (Ellsworth, ME) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Foxcroft Academy Ponies (Dover-Foxcroft, ME), 2-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Eagles confront the Mount Desert Island Trojans (Mount Desert, ME) in a Class B - North challenge, on Wednesday, September 21. Ellsworth will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 8-0 league loss to John Bapst Memorial (Bangor, ME).
The Ponies now have a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dexter for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 20. Foxcroft Academy will confront a Tigers team coming off a 9-0 league win over Penquis Valley (Milo, ME). The Tigers record now stands at 3-1.
