California High School Volleyball - Selma tips Liberty

The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Selma Bears (Selma, CA) and the host Liberty Hawks (Madera, CA), saw Selma's volleyball squad nip Liberty by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Selma upgrades its record to 9-4 on the year. The Bears travel to Kerman (Kerman, CA) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 16. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 5-7. Kerman lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Sanger West (Fresno, CA)

The Hawks now own a 9-14 record. They play next when they host Sierra for a Northwest Sequoia bout on Tuesday, September 19. Liberty will confront a Chieftains team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Chowchilla (Chowchilla, CA). The Chieftains record now stands at 8-17.
