September 16, 2023: Morganton, GA 30560 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Mountain Area Christian Academy Lions (Morganton, GA) and the visiting Philadelphia Christian School Eagles (Calhoun, GA), saw Mountain Area Christian Academy's volleyball squad nip Philadelphia Christian School by a tally of 2-1.
With the win, Mountain Area Christian Academy upgrades its record to 2-4 on the year. The Lions travel to Peoples Baptist Academy (McDonough, GA) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Monday, September 18. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Peoples Baptist Academy lost 3-1 in their recent league bout against Appling Christian Academy (Baxley, GA)
The Eagles now own a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to North Georgia Christian Academy for a GCAA Region I bout on Monday, September 18. Philadelphia Christian School will play a Knights squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Victory Christian (Sylva, NC). The Knights record now stands at 1-5.
