September 16, 2025: Lynchburg, VA New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) followers left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host Lynchburg HomeSchool Patriots (Lynchburg, VA), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, New Covenant advances its record to 7-5 on the season. The Gryphons host Carlisle (Axton, VA) to face the Chiefs in a non-league test on Friday, September 19. The Chiefs go into the test with a record of 0-1. Carlisle lost 2-0 in their recent league outing against North Cross (Roanoke, VA)
With the loss, Lynchburg HomeSchool drops to 1-7 on the campaign. The Patriots host Christian Heritage Academy (Rocky Mount, VA) to confront the Knights in a non-league game on Tuesday, October 7. The Knights go into the game with a record of 2-3.
