Maine High School Soccer - Skowhegan nudges Belfast
September 16, 2025: Belfast, ME 04915 In Tuesday's non-league outing, the visiting Skowhegan River Hawks soccer team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Belfast Lions.
With the triumph, Skowhegan moves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The River Hawks host Cony (Augusta, ME) to clash with the Rams in a non-league test on Thursday, September 18. The Rams come into the test with a record of 2-2. Cony won 2-1 in their recent league test against Nokomis (Newport, ME)
The Lions now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Medomak Valley for a Class B - North test on Thursday, September 18. Belfast will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Oceanside (Rockland, ME). The Panthers record now stands at 2-2.
