Maine High School Soccer - Belfast toppled by Waterville
October 9, 2025: Waterville, ME 04901 The Waterville Panthers triumphed over the visiting Belfast Lions soccer squad by a margin of 9-1 in Thursday's league bout.
The Panthers now hold a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Lawrence for a Class B - North bout on Saturday, October 11. Waterville will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 8-0 league loss to Oceanside (Rockland, ME). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Belfast drops to 1-6 on the season. The Lions host Nokomis (Newport, ME) to face the Warriors in a Class B - North contest on Tuesday, October 14. The Warriors enter the contest with a record of 4-4. Nokomis lost 7-1 in their recent non-league contest against Mount View (Thorndike, ME)
