The Burke County Bears triumphed over the visiting Josey Eagles softball squad by a count of 11-1 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Bears now sport a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thomson for a 2A Region 4 battle on Wednesday, September 17. Burke County will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 17-0 league win over Glenn Hills (Augusta, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-7.

With the loss, Josey drops to 4-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Laney (Augusta, GA) to meet the Wildcats in a 2A Region 4 challenge on Monday, September 22. The Wildcats go into the challenge with a record of 0-5.
