Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA) followers left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Bears (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Galax (Galax, VA). The Maroon Tide come into the Mountain Empire challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Galax lost by Auburn (Riner, VA), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Maroons play the Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA) in a Mountain Empire challenge, on Thursday, September 18. George Wythe will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record.
