Texas High School Volleyball - Central Heights overwhelmed by Lufkin
September 16, 2025: Lufkin, TX 75901 Lufkin Panthers (Lufkin, TX) followers left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Central Heights Blue Devils (Nacogdoches, TX), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Lufkin advances its record to 25-7 on the season. The Panthers host Tyler (Tyler, TX) to face the Lions in a 5A Region II District 10 game on Friday, September 19. The Lions go into the game with a record of 11-14. Tyler lost 3-0 in their recent league game against Hallsville (Hallsville, TX)
The Blue Devils (26-6) will now prepare for their game against West Rusk (New London, TX). The Raiders go into the non-league game with a 21-10 record. In their last outing, West Rusk beat Gladewater (Gladewater, TX), 3-0, in a league outing.
