The McAllen Bulldogs held off the visiting Veterans Memorial Chargers football team by a count of 21-14 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, McAllen upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Porter (Brownsville, TX) to encounter the Cowboys in a 5A-1 Region IV District 16 outing on Thursday, September 23. The Cowboys go into the outing with a record of 1-3. Porter lost 17-7 in their recent league outing against Weslaco East (Weslaco, TX)

With the loss, Veterans Memorial moves to 2-2 on the season. The Chargers host Palmview (La Joya, TX) to encounter the Lobos in a 5A-1 Region IV District 16 outing on Saturday, September 25. The Lobos go into the outing with a record of 2-2. Palmview won 22-20 in their recent league outing against Donna (Donna, TX)
