Texas High School Football - McAllen prevails Porter

The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the McAllen Bulldogs (McAllen, TX) and the host Porter Cowboys (Brownsville, TX), observed McAllen's football squad defeat Porter by a count of 42-28.

The Bulldogs now own a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Weslaco East for a 5A-1 Region IV District 16 contest on Thursday, October 7. McAllen will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 27-0 league win over Pace (Brownsville, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-1.

Coming up next, the Cowboys encounter the Palmview Lobos (La Joya, TX) in a 5A-1 Region IV District 16 contest, on Thursday, October 7. Porter will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Lobos go into the contest with a 2-3 record after their 55-41 league loss to Veterans Memorial (Brownsville, TX).
